Remember music director Siva, who had scored for Vijay’s Love Today, Prashanth’s Poomagal Oorvalam, Lawrence’s Arpudham and the Sneha-starrer Kadhal Sugamanadhu. Siva who has been in hibernation for some time following atrip to US for setting an Album, is all set to commence his ‘second innings’ in Kollywood albeit with a new name.
Siva now becomes Hariharan (the name of his first son) and would be scoring the music of the upcoming film titled Oruvar Meedhu Iruvar Saayndhu (OMIS) which is directed by Balasekaran, who had earlier directed the Vijay-starrer Love Today. OMIS has Lagubaran and Swathi, who played the lead roles in Rattinam which released early this year, coming together again as the lead pair.
Though he wasn’t working in Tamil films, Siva a.k.a. Hariharan was indeed active in Telugu and Hindi film industries. In between, he also worked for two years with the U.S.-based Virgin Recording Company in assisting in making music albums for the Company as a key-board player. Hailing form Chennai, this ‘son of the soil’ is now determined to make it count in Tamil films and make his presence felt.
Snehan and Viveka have penned the five songs in OMIS which, in Siva’s opinion, would be rocking the music industry as and when the audio of the film is released by the end of the year. We can only wish that Siva (meaning Lord Shiva) becoming Hari (one of Lord Vishnu’s names) should result in a happy augury for this music director!
