Post-production for Maattrraan is in its final stages. The Surya flick got a major blow when the whole plot and mini clips from the movie were leaked online.Keeping focused on work at hand,Director KV Anand sat down to edit the film recently.
Maattrraan has been shot in some exotic locations with lead pair Suriya and Kajal Agarwal having the time of their lives. Composer Harris Jayaraj is happy with the audio album response and will now be working on the background scores. Director KV has handed over his final copy to Harris, for the purpose of re-recording and scoring the BG music. “The film was totally 3 1/2 hours long and director Anand didn’t want to lose much of it. Most of the scenes had to be cut out even though he felt they added to the storyline”, informs a trusted source. We came to know that the version handed over to Harris is 2 hours and 48 min long, tracing the lives of Siamese twins Vimalan and Akilan. It will take at least 10 to 12 days for Harris to complete the whole process and soon after Maattrraan will be ready for the Censor Board screening.Confirmed for an October 12 release, the makers are aiming to get a U certification in the first week of October itself.
