Lakshmi Menon was at the famed Palani Murugan Temple yesterday apparently to fulfill a vow she had made at the Temple during her visit to the Temple early last year.
The lanky actress was at the temple along with her family members. She offered the deities dutifully and later spoke to newspersons after emerging from the Temple. “I was here last year when Kumki had just released. I had made a vow to come back to the temple and pull the ‘golden chariot’ here if my films became successful and I managed to find a permanent footing in the Tamil and Malayalam film industries.
“Due to the grace of Lord Muruga at Palani, my films have turned out to be very successful in Tamil and I have been accepted as an actress who could act. I was now back at this temple to fulfill my vow, offer my thanks to the Lord and pull the ‘golden chariot’ as per my prayers. I’m excited that my prayers have been answered by the Almighty,” she concluded.
Lakshmi’s presence had spread fast and her fans congregated soon in large numbers. Lakshmi patiently signed autographs and left.
