Kajal Aggarwal, the actress with a slender frame and a figure-to-die-for, is quite happy at being on top in both the Tamil and the Telugu film industries. Thanks to her relentless pursuit for the past 3-4 years, Kajal has come to be counted among the top in Kollywood and Tollywood.
The girl, who debuted in veteran director Bharathiraaja’s Bommalattam opposite ‘action king’ Arjun a few years back, has come a long way indeed. She now has two biggies in Tamil lined up: one is Thuppakki (likely to have its title changed) opposite Vijay and the other is Maatraan opposite Suriya. While Murugadoss directs the Vijay-starrer, K.V. Anand is the director of the Suriya-Kajal starrer.
As such, both these films are expected to do well and their success at the box-office would further cement the position of Kajal and her strengthen her attempts to become the ‘numero uno’ in both the film industries. Name, fame and money hasn’t gone to her head and Kajal behaves very well with everyone on the sets, be it the director, the spot boy or the lightmen.
She also has All In All Azhaguraja opposite Karthi, with whom she had earlier starred in the successful Naan Mahaan Alla. Besides her Tamil projects, she also has a handful of films in Telugu, easily making her one of the busiest actresses around. She is said to be referred to her coterie as the ‘No.1’ actress in South India.
She has also been facing allegations and accusatons of goofing-up her call-sheet schedules with some producers. When a heroine is as busy as Kajal, managing the call-sheet dates doesn’t become the easiest of tasks. With this in mind, the producers who had accused her ealier have taken things in their stride and forgive her without making it a big issue.
