Deepavali 2010 has a list of movies to be released and it would be interesting to find out who wins the race. The latest inclusion in the list of tamil movies for Diwali release is Jeeva starrer ‘Singam Puli’.
Jeeva says his work in Singam Puli is over, where he portrays a dual role. Directed by debutant Sai Ramani, Jeeva plays a rough fisherman and a lively advocate in this film.
The actor said “After so much screaming and yelling, finished the dubbing of Singam Puli. Seems the film has come out decent.”
And he is excited that the movie would hit the screens for Deepavali. “We are trying hard to ensure to release Singam Puli for Deepavali. Shooting and dubbing for my part is complete. I think a little work on the technical front is left. But, Director Sai Ramani is working real hard and the promos will start soon,”
Adding more on the movie, he says, “Playing a dual role is a dream for any actor. With ‘Singam Puli’, it is realized for me. Also Since I play a double role in the film, I had to work on modulating my voice while dubbing for it. Giving voice for the fisherman came easy to me because I had to talk in the Madras lingo. It was a breeze and I had fun. But for the part of the lawyer, I had to talk in Thanglish in a really sophisticated way. But there’s no denying I had fun while doing that as well.”
Actor Jeeva has hand full of projects in his kitty. These include Ko, Vandhaan Vendraan and Rowthiram. On ‘Ko’, he says, “When director K V Anand approached me, I thought it was for the negative role. But, it turned out to be the lead role. ‘Ko’ is a wonderful project and I didn’t want to let it go at any cost”.
