Hemalatha, a Guinness-record holder and popular Mohiniyattam exponent hailing from Kerala, performed a 90-minute long performance at the famous Guruvayur Temple praying for the speedy recovery of superstar Rajinikanth, who is presently convalescing at a Singapore Hospital.

Even as Rajinikanth’s millions of fans worldwide are indulged in prayers of various forms to their respective Gods seeking their favourite star’s early recovery from the illness which has made him bed-ridden for more than a month now, Hemalatha, the popular danseuse, has attempted her own effort towards ensuring Rajini’s speedy recovery.

Hemalatha holds the Guinness record in her name for having performed Mohiniyatam non-stop for 123 hours and 15 minutes last year in Thrissur. A self-proclaimed fan of superstar Rajinikanth, Hemalatha says that she was deeply hurt to know that Rajinikanth was hospitalized in Singapore. “This is my contribution towards the recovery of Rajini,” says Hemalatha.

A huge crowd of onlookers had collected outside the temple to watch Hemalatha dance seeking the Almighty’s help for Rajini’s recovery.
