En Peyar Kumarasamy brings the singer out of Parthiban

Parthiban sings for En Peyar Kumarasamy

A new film titled En Peyar Kumarasamy was launched recently which has newcomer Ram and Mumbai-import Antara Biswas playing the lead roles. The film is produced by Tirunallan Films. Others in the cast include Yuva, Babloo, Risha, Yogi Devaraj and Baiji, the popular comedian of Malayalam films.

Rathan Chandrasekar has taken on the responsibility of directing the film besides penning the story, screenplay and dialogues. V. Tashi would be scoring the music for the film which has as many as seven songs which are penned by the quartet of Yugabarath, Nellai Barathi, Thanu Karthick and Tholkapopiyan.
Chandrasekar himself has penned a lyric which starts with the words Vanappudai Magalir Sollum…. The significance of the song was that it has been sung by director-actor-poet R. Parthiban. The song was recorded at Chennai’s Kiran Studios yesterday.

Speaking about the song, Rathan said that the song comes in the film at a time when the hero fails to win his lady love’s heart. “Soon after writing the lyric, I thought it’d nice to get the song sung by Parthiban Sir. I explained to him the situation and showed him the lyrics. After going through them, he immediately liked it and agreed so sing. I felt very honoured that he obliged my request,” says Chandrasekar.
