Today is the fourteenth year anniversary of Thalapathy Vijay’s blockbuster film ‘Ghilli’. Talking about the film, director Dharani said that even after watching the remake, he wanted to narrate the story to Vijay. “While watching the film, I wanted to add a lot of things to the script. I met the director of the original version to know the things he missed while making Okkadu”, said Dharani.
“All the fight sequences were real. The chase sequence in Madurai was a big highlight. Vijay, Trisha, Prakash Raj and all others performed the stunt sequences without any body double”, said Dharani.
Produced by AM Ratnam, Ghilli was the first Tamil film to gross more than 50cr at the box office.
