Comedian Senthil who has been campaigning vigorously for ADMK for the ongoing local body election, was completely shocked when he came to know that his name was missing in the voters list. A resident of Saligramam, chennai, he was barred from voting at the polling station in Cauvery School on Monday. Besides the actor, four of his family members including his two sons were turned away as they too were not listed.
For the actor it was was really appalling as he and his family members had voted in the recently held state assembly elections and did not have any logical reason to believe that their names would not figure in the electoral rolls this time.
The devasted actor said, “The election commission has goofed up. Names of all members of my family is missing. How can this be possible? It was a thwarted plan. It’s very sad to know AIADMK has lost our 5 votes.”
The actor even looked for his name in a nearby polling station at Bharathithasan street, but failed to figure his name out. Finally, the actor went back without voting, completely disappointed.
