Hansika gossips had started even before her maiden Tamil venture, “Itch” is released. And the rumour mills are abuzz with stories linking her with director Prabhu Deva. “It’s all rubbish. Prabhu is only my mentor. Actually, I don’t know why these rumours have started, but let me tell you that whoever is spreading them is definitely a sick person,” she says defensively after having bagged to big projects with superstars Vijay and Danush even before the release of her debut Tamil venture.
Besides her work, What makes Chennai her favourite spot are the beaches in Chennai. “The beaches are exotic, but unfortunately I’ve only visited them twice,” she informs. Also she likes idly sambar, vada and hot coffee which have her taste buds tingling. “They are yummy.” And on nightclubs in the city? “Well, I hit the bed at 8.30 pm, so late nights are ruled out,” she clears off. Considering her growing fascination for Chennai, does she plan to bid adieu to the Telugu movie? ” Hyderabad is like my second home,” she says diplomatically.
But sources say that Hansika has moved bag and baggage to Chennai due to dearth of offers in Telugu cinema. The fact that Tamil producers are willing to pay her a huge sum has also tilted the balance in their favour.
