It is reported that actor Bobby Simha has agreed to play the antagonist opposite Vikram in the latter’s Hari-directed Saamy 2.
To be the sequel to Hari’s 2003 blockbuster Saamy which starred Vikram, Vivek, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Trisha in the lead, Saamy 2 is to star Vikram, Trisha and Keerthy Suresh in the lead. Hari, whose last film was the Si3 (third on the Singam sequel), hinted a few months back that his next film would be the Saamy sequel and would start Vikram and Trisha in the lead again.
Keerthy is expected to take care of the ‘glamour’ quotient in the film which may see national award-winning actor Bobby Simha as the antagonist as the villain got killed in the prequel and there is a need to introduce a new antagonist in the sequel. Vikram plays dual roles in the film, it has been reported.
Commenting on rumours of him being the antagonist in the film, Bobby confirmed that he had been in talk with the crew but added tha he hadn’t signed along the dotted lines to star in the film. Bobby, out of favour with producers and directors, is already playing Vijay Sethupathi’s antagonist in the latter’s upcoming film titled as Karuppan.
