It may be recalled that Music Maestro Ilayaraja had rendered an album on Thiruvasagam with loads of spirituality in it. Music director Bharathwaj is all set to create a music album based on the world famous Tamil literary work Thirukkural now. The album will be made up of all 1330 Kurals and each Kural will be crooned by a singer.
Bharadwaj who has hits in movies such as ‘Kadhal Mannan’, ‘JJ’, ‘Vattaram’, ‘Autograph’, ‘Vasool Raja M.B.B.S’, ‘Attagasam’ and ‘Asal’, on this mega project says, “The inspiration came from none other than the maestro, Ilayaraja. After hearing Ilaiyaraja’s `Thiruvasagam‘ I decided to compose a special album in Tamil where one will remember Bharadwaj for a similar monumental work. Since most part of my life was in Delhi, I was only recently able to read and relish Thirukkural. An excellent work by saint poet Thiruvalluvar, the book has remedies for almost all problems in life. 1330 Singers from 35 countries will be part of this album and the album will run for more than 11 hours. It will have a stunning background score too. This is my dream project.”
“Thank Almighty, it’s getting to shape now. I am also getting help from Tamil activists and top bureaucrats like IAS officer Iraianbu. I will start a foreign tour in this regard soon. I hope to complete the project in a year’s time” Bharadwaj adds.
Bharathwaj is currently scoring music for Thankar Bachan’s ‘Kalavadia Pozhudhugal’ and ‘Nandhi’.
We wish you all the best Bharathwaj!!!
