One of the films which had dialogues by Ramakrishnan include director Lingusamy’s Sandakozhi (2005) which gave actor Vishal the image of an ‘action hero’ very early in his career. The film, which had the diminutive Meera Jasmine opposite the lanky Vishal, turned out to be a super-duper hit film thanks to its sleek narration by the director, the dialogues and some peppy numbers by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Lingusamy, who is upbeat with the success of his latest directorial venture Vettai starring Madhavan, Aarya, Sameera Reddy and Amala in lead roles, is said to be planning to make a sequel to Sandakozhi with Vishal playing the lead role again. The planned sequel would have Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music and might take off from where Sandakozhi left, it is reported.
Though Lingusamy had earlier denied the news about the sequel, he is now said to be seriously involved in penning the script for Sandakozhi-2. An announcement about the sequel film would be formally made in the days to come, sources close to him say. The film would have dialogues by Ramakrishnan, who penned the dialogues in Sandakozhi but didn’t work in any of Lingusamy’s films afterwards.
It is further reported that the film, which brings together Ramakrishnan and Lingusamy for the second time together, would be produced by Thirupathy Brothers, Lingusamy’s production house.
