The audio launch of Neerparavai has been scheduled to be held on the evening of 19th October at the Sathyam Cinemas premises in the city. The film is produced by Red Giant Movies owned by Udhayanidhi, grandson of Kalaignar. Udhayanidhi, who debuted as hero in Kollywood early this year with Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, is back to his usual role of a film producer.
Seenu Ramasamy, who directed the award-winning Thenmerku Paruvakkatru in the last quarter of 2010, is back with the third film in his career as director. The film has music by N.R. Raghunandan, who scored the music of Thenmerku… as well. The film’s audio cassettes and CDs would be released by producer-director A.R. Murugadoss while Harris Jayaraj would be receiving the first copy. It may be recalled that Seenu debuted as director with the Bharath-starrer Koodal Nagar in 2007.
Lyricist Vairamuthu would be presiding over the ‘release’ of the CDs and cassettes at the event which would also witness the presence of veteran director Balumahendraa, who recently launched a film to be directed by him in Maestro Ilaiyaraaja’s music. The trailer of Neerparavai would also be screened on the day the audio will be released, it is informed.
Industry watchers say that the coming together of the successful combination of Ramasamy, Vairamuthu and Raghunandan augurs well not only for Neerparavai but also for the film industry as well where relationships are made and broken every other day. Vishnu and Sunaina play the lead roles in the film which also has Saranya Ponvannan and Yogi Devaraj essaying prominent characters.
The Censor Board, which recently watched the film, not only awarded it an ‘U’ certification but also was reportedly moved by the climatic sequence.
