Director Atlee Kumar has revealed that he was a huge fan of actor Vijay and it was always a ‘dream’ for him to make a film starring Vijay, his childhood hero, in the lead.
After the successful Theri, Vijay and Atlee have joined hands together for Vijay’s upcoming untitled film (to be the 61st in his career) which has Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menen as the three heroines in the film. Vijay reportedly plays three roles in the film, though nothing official has been said about this.
“I was warned before becoming a director with Raja Rani that I would have to keep mum on most occasions; however, I’m a talkative person and it is very difficult for me to keep mum. I took to the film industry mainly to make a film starring Vijay in the lead as he had been my childhood hero. I’m now making an ‘ideal’ film for Vijay and can’t keep mum or control my emotions under wraps for long.
“At times, it strikes me that I can’t reveal many things as I’m also the director of the film. Like many of Vijay’s fans, I’m also waiting eagerly for the release of this film,” concludes Atlee, informing that the ‘first-look’ of the film would be revealed on Vijay’s 44th birthday on 22nd June.
