Actor Arya has been having a pretty good year. His Avan Ivan directed by Bala and co-starring Vishal was widely appreciated by the critics, the media and the industry insiders. The film also managed a fair business at the box-office. Arya’s carefree portrayal of a commoner in the film won him many accolades.
He is presently in the finishing stages of completing the shooting of his upcoming film Vettai directed by Lingusamy. The film, which is a home production of Lingusamy, is being produced under his banner Thirupathy Brothers. Madhavan, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul are Arya’s co-stars in the film. Amala is paired opposite Arya while Maddy is paired opposite Sameera.
Madhavan and Arya are said to be having great fun both on the sets as well as on-screen during the making of Vettai. The duo has the entire Unit in splits with their witty one-liners and timely comments on various mattes. Now that he is about to wrap up Vettai, Arya is already looking ahead for his next film.
Reports say that director Vasanthabalan, whose period-flick Aravaan starring Aadhi and Dhansika in lead roles is all set to hit silver screens soon, has cast Arya as the hero in his next film. Vasanthabalan has the knack of narrating his films without compromising on the reality aspect. Readers may recall that he won many awards for his last year’s hit film Anagadi Theru staring newcomer Mahesh and Anjali in the lead.
Like he always does, Arya is likely to submit himself entirely to the director and do exactly what the director expects from him. There is already some speculation going around in Kollywood about the script of Vasanthabalan’s next film with Arya.
