Composer AR Rahman will ring in New Year 2012 with his Hindi release Ek Deewaana Tha (Bollywood version of Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya) which had its audio launch earlier at the Lawns of Taj Khema – the eastern gate of Taj Mahal. The place was thronged by eager fans to catch a glimpse of the composer, with the security trying to bring things under control.
Rahman arrived at the location in his chopper and later hosted the event with his wonderful troupe of young voices entertaining the guests. With everything going as per plans Director Gautham Menon and the composer are counting down the big day with their fans. Eager to know what next, we got in touch with one of the insiders from the industry who gave us the big news. “Rahman will be working with the Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan in an upcoming movie”, revealed the source. All other details have been kept under the wraps as of now and will be announced on time. Fans would recall that the Rahman – Shahrukh combo has worked wonders. Their earlier collaboration in Dil Se directed by Mani Ratnam had the big hit Chaiyya Chaiyya and later it was Swades that rocked the box office. Shahrukh Khan heavily promoted his Ra.One down South which is now followed by Don 2 releasing yesterday.
Both movies will hold him in good stead for the future, now that Rahman is on board for the big one.
