AR Rahman looses BAFTA award

AR Rahman has lost out on the BAFTA race to one Alexandre Desplat in an award function which was held at the London’s Royal Opera House on Valentine’s Day i.e this 14th. The maestro was nominated for Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours for the best Original Music score. This time the award has gone to Alexandre Desplat for The King’s Speech which also won the Best Film Award and The Outstanding British Film.

Now Rahmaniacs will be looking forward to the double Oscars as ‘Isai Puyal’ AR Rahman has been nominated in the categories for Best Original Score and the Best Song ‘If I Rise’ with Dido for Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours.

Moreover Rahman will be making all preparations to give his performance during the Oscar ceremony which will be held this Feb 27th, 2011.

Let’s hope he scores a double whammy again for the Oscars.
