Anushka moved to tears by the music of Deiva Thirumagal

It’s not often one hears that Anushka breaks down and cries her heart out. Tall and slimly built, Anusha has played the lead role opposite ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram in the latter’s upcoming film ‘Deiva Thirumagal’, which has been directed by Vijay (of ‘Madarasapattinam’ fame). The film also stars Amala Paul as the other heroine in it.

The film, which has Vikram playing the role of a person with ‘special needs’, reportedly has some riveting music. Anushka, prior to shooting for a solo song in the film starring with the lines ‘Vizhigalil Oru Vaanavil…’, listened to the song completely in order to prepare herself to lip-sync it on-screen. Even as the song was being played, Anushka was so taken in by the melody of the song that tears started rolling down her cheeks.

Anushka’s first comments immediately after she heard the full song was that “Though I have listened to many songs in the past, this particular song has really touched my soul and I can’t stop when tears started flooding my eyes; the music, the lyrics and the situation in which the song appears in the film would have a deep impact on the audience.”

The song in question has some ‘special bond’ to it other than being sung by a singer and composed by a music director. G.V. Prakash Kumar, who has scored the music of the film, all set to marry Saindhavi, the singer. Obviously, their feelings do get reflected in this song!
