The switchover drama continues in Tamil Nadu. Actor-turned-politician Sarath Kumar who had been switching over between leading political parties DMK and AIADMK, this time has joined hands with AIADMK again.
His All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi (AISMK) has been allotted two seats by the AIADMK Supremo Jayalalitha, to contest in the April 13 Tamil Nadu Assembly polls. Sarath Kumar met AIADMK general secretary J. Jayalalitha on Thursday(March 10, 2011) and both of them signed the seat-sharing agreement. AIADMK Party Treasurer O Pannerselvam , Headquarters’ Secretary A Sengottaiyan and PavoorChatram, Tirunelveli district Nadar Sangam Circle leader R.K Kalidasan were also present in the meeting.
Later, talking to reporters, Mr. Sarath Kumar said that the number of seats did not matter to the party as their main objective was to bring down the “corrupt” DMK regime in the coming Assembly elections.
AIADMK also has the support of actor Vijayakanth, Vijay’s father SA Chandrasekhar, actor Karthik and several others. The star studded AIADMK alliance is all set to expand further if T. Rajender joins them as well.
Let us wait and see how DMK alliance bring their own stars to start a star war.
