Actress Saranya Ponvannan met the press at chennai today(friday 20th May 2011) after her performance in Thenmerku Paruvakaatru, her 100th movie fetched her the National Film Award for Best Actress in 2011.

“”I came into the industry because my mother, wanted me to shine like stars. It is all her blessings that i ve won national award in my 100th movie, All those who saw the movie said I will get an award. So I am not surprised, People says that my acting is very natural and I come across as very much like the characters I portray” said Saranaya,
