Sivakarthikeyan has said that actors pale in comparison before stage artistes whose spontaneity in emoting while acting was simply unmatched.
Sivakarthikeyan was the chief-guest at the 100th show of the popular stage play Kaasethaan Kadavulada by popular film-and-theatre artiste Y.G. Mahendra. The actor, who is busy of late attending trailer/audio-launch and other functions, was all praise for stage artistes for their non-stop commitment.
The play is a stage adaptation of a film of the same name whose script was penned by ‘Chitralaya’ Gopu. Y.G. Mahendra takes up the character essayed by the late and legendary actor ‘Thengai’ Srinivasan in the film.
“I don’t have enough words to laud the efforts of all artistes and technicians; we actors feel ashamed in front f stage-artistes who spontaneity in emoting while acting is unmatched. We take many ‘takes’ to get a sequence right whereas you have just one chance to get it right, which is amazing. You inspire us,” Sivakarthikeyan said.
