2017 is turning out to be a turning point for the telecom industry as all the telecom giants are geared up to counter threat the new entrant – Reliance Jio, by introducing several attractive tariff plans, and BSNL is heading the race.
State-run telecom firm Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has come up with a new tariff plan. It offers 1 GB data at INR 36. Earlier, BSNL had stated that they will start offering up to four times extra data on existing data special tariff vouchers (STVs).
BSNL is offering 8 GB data for 28 days at INR 291, which earlier offered 2 GB data. BSNL is also offering 2 GB data at INR 78.
By introducing the new plan, BSNL has set a benchmark of offering the cheapest data plan.
About BSNL’s future plan, it will be interesting to witness how BSNL sketches its road map to rule the telecom sector by counter attacking the other telecom giants.
