The alleged specifications for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 smartphone were leaked last month and now the details of the Redmi Note 5A smartphone have surfaced on the Internet. The new variant of the smartphone has been tipped to be priced at CNY 999 (about INR 9,600), and will be available for purchase starting August 21.
In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 5A has been tipped to come with a 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front camera. It is expected to come with 16 GB internal storage space, and will include a 3080 mAh battery. It will run on Android v7.1.1 Nougat-based MIUI. It measures 153 x 76.2 x 7.59 mm and weigh 150 grams. There’s word that the smartphone may feature a 5.5-inch 720p display. It may well be packed by a Snapdragon 425 SoC, coupled with 2 GB RAM.
That said, a report by GSMArena suggests that there might be higher-end variants of the smartphone on offer as well by the company.
