Sharp has launched a flagship level device called Aquos R with AI abilities and the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC. The device has currently only been launched in Japan.
The Sharp Aquos R sports metal edges, with glass back and front cover. A USB Type-C port resides at the bottom edge of the device, and the fingerprint scanner is underneath the Home Button.

The Sharp Aquos R features a 5.3-inch QHD display, dishing out 1440 x 2560 pixels screen resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, paired with Adreno 540 GPU, and 4 GB RAM. It comes with 64 GB inbuilt storage.
The Sharp Aquos R bears a 22.6 MP rear sensor with flash, and a 16.3 MP front camera. The handset is backed by a 3160 mAh battery, and runs on Android v7.1 Nougat OS. It supports Quick Charge 3.0 and comes with its own inbuilt Emop AI assistant.
