Huawei’s Honor brand unveils Honor 9 smartphone

Huawei’s Honor brand has unveiled the Honor 9 smartphone in China. The device has been launched in three variants – 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage priced at CNY 2,299 (about INR 22,000), 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage priced at CNY 2,699 (about INR 26,000), and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage priced at CNY 2,999 (about INR 28,500).

The Honor 9 packs a 5.15-inch full-HD LTPS display, dishing out 1080 x 1920 pixels screen resolution. The smartphone is powered by a Kirin 960 processor, and its external memory is expandable up to 256 GB.

The dual-SIM Honor 9 comes with dual camera at the back. It sports a 20 MP sensor (for monochrome) alongside a 12 MP sensor (for RGB). It also has an 8 MP front camera. The 4G VoLTE device is backed by a 3200 mAh non-removable battery and runs on Android v7.0 Nougat-based EMUI 5.1. It measures 147.3 x 70.9 x 7.45 mm and weighs 155 grams.
