Mahaan a Mythological serial airing on Vijay TV, Monday to Friday at 1830 hrs has gained immense popularity amongst the viewers of Tamilnadu. The serial depicts the birth, the calling, the sacrifices, the miracles and the sainthood life lived by different saints. Currently the life of the saint Guru Sri Raghavendrar is being featured on the show.
The story now showcases the last few days of Sri Raghavendra’s life leading upto the “Jeeva Samadhi”. Vijay TV has taken the efforts to ensure that the “jeeva Samadhi” sequence is portrayed in a fine way.
To commemorate the completion and the phenomenal success of Sri Raghavendrar series, leading upto the “Jeeva Samathi” of the saint; Vijay TV had planned for a special ‘prarthanai van’ which is travelling all over Tamilnadu.
The van fully decked up with Sri Raghavendra Swamigal’s deity would visit popular temples across Tamilnadu. Devotees of Sri Ragavendrar can render their prayers and also write their prayers and drop them on the prarthanai van. Vijay TV has organized to provide special ‘prasatham’ for the devotees. On 6th Dec onwards the van had started its journey and visited places such as Tirunelveli – Kanniyakumari Suseenthiram temple and Hanuman Temple, Trichy Viralimalai Murugan temple, Samayapuram Mariamman temple, Thiruchendru Murugan temple and Trichy Uchipillaiyar temple.
