Tamil Film Producers Council meet held at Film Champer, chennai yesterday 09 Jan 2010, following only 10 films were declared hit out of the 148 movie released and to discuss other affairs in Tamil cinema world. Many resolutions were passed including making all theaters screen Tamil films for most part of the year and year and reducing the exorbitant ticket rates.

The meeting, also accused some theatres in Tamil Nadu of over-pricing movie tickets, said it would demand cancellation of the licences of exhibitors failing to comply with government rules.
”While the government has fixed ticket rates between Rs 40-50, some theatres are charging even upto Rs 200. Various industry bodies would not allow this,” the TFPC said in a resolution at its general council meeting.
