Choreographer-actor Raghava Lawrence, who is known to be a ardent fan of superstar Rajinikanth, conducted a mass joint prayer session at his Raghavendra Temple in Avadi on May 22, for the welfare and speedy recovery of the star. Many Rajini fans, well-wishers and members of the public attended the pooja. This prayer session also was attended by the Nadigar Sangam President and AISMK MLA Sarath Kumar.
A special pooja was held at the venue and was offered 108 pots of milk to the deity at 06:30 a.m. on Sunday, the 22nd May and a mass joint prayer meeting held seeking from the Lord the early recovery from illness of superstar Rajinikanth.
Speaking to the media persons soon after the prayer session, Raghava said, “I am one of the millions of fans who love, adore and have lots of respect for superstar Rajinikanth. It was Rajini Sir who brought me to the world of films. Like him, I have also become a devotee of Sri Raghavedra Swamy and wanted to build a temple for Sri Raghavendra. When I told Rajini Sir about my wish, he gave me a photograph and asked me to ensure that the sculpture of the Swamy should be like the one in the photograph.
At this venue, we arranged for a mass joint prayer session, in order to pray to the Almighty to speed up the recovery of our beloved ‘Thalaivar’. I’m sure our prayers would be answered by the Lord”.
