Narthagi Press Meet Stills

Narthagi Press Meet held at Film Champer, Chennai yesterday 10 Jan 2011 after around 50 transgenders gheraoed the Censor Board’s Office situated inside the Shastri Bhawan complex in the city protesting against its move to slap an ‘A’ certificate on ‘Narthagi’ saying that it was unfair on the part of the Board to do so when a producer had taken it upon herself to bring to screen the suffering and pain they had been subjected to all these years.

The Board Claims ‘Narthagi’, directed by Vijayapadma and produced by ‘Punnagaipoo’ Geetha should not be watched by kids without the aide of elders as it could plant many ‘unnecessary confusion’ in their minds.

  1. @sano, what have u found in this not human.. try to get matured and conceive the notion in a positive way.u have no idea as how painful those peoples’ lives are…please dont insult them by writing like that.thanks..

  2. why was the movie given ‘A’ certificate for? if it’s for sexual scenes then those scenes shld be removed before they protest.. ppl always associate them with sex and if they wan it to be changed then they shld change first.. jus look at their photos above.. the lady in pink saree looks presentable and nice.. but look at the one in orange saree.. i guess i dun have to say anything more..

  4. i dont know whom you are talking about as there is none wearing orange colour there

moreover even if theres someone wearing the so called orange, i dont think none in this including your mother has got the rights to comment on your lifestyle

So it goes the same for you too if you try to comment on someone else’s lifestyle. As I already notified, try to let them their life as none definitely choose to live like that.Thats how they born..If you are a guy and if you ask to behave like a girl among 10 people, will you do..dont u find it embarassing and extremely difficult..

thats exactly the way those people experience as well if the common society expect them to behave like other guys.

people, please..its so easy to say anything you want just like that..but rather try to start respecting fellow humans in our society.some of those people are even hated by their own family..their whole life is a pain.dont add more to it.

    thanks
