Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today formally launched the shoot of ‘Ilaignan’, the 50th film of director Suresh Krishna, which has lyricist Pa Vijay in the lead role.
Kalaignar in his eighties who has penned the script for the movie, said ‘action’ to mark the launch of the shoot at a function held at Binny Mills in Perambur. Following this, a scene in which workers of a factory led by Pa. Vijay staging a protest against its owner was canned.
Produced by S Martin, the film will have Meenakshi and Kushboo in pivotal roles. Vidyasagar has been roped in to score the music while cinematography is by B L Sanjay, a former assistant of P C Sreeram. Thotta Tharani will take care of the art.
