Eight months after the demise under mysterious circumstances of her aunt and former Tamil Nadu chief-minister J. Jayalalithaa, her niece Deepa has claimed that she possessed a very ‘important evidence’ pointing to a conspiracy/mystery.
“I shall produce the evidence before the Commission of Inquiry when the right time comes,” Deepa, who floated the MGR-Amma-Deepa Peravai a few months back and which is mired in confusion, told newsmen yesterday. Deepa, daughter of the late chief-minister’s elder brother, revealed this while taking part in a FM radio show.
“If Assembly elections are held now, we (the Peravai) would win the polls hands down and set up Amma’s Govt. Edapadi Palaniswami-led Govt. doesn’t have people’s support. Both OPS and EPS are enacting a well-scripted drama and cheating people by talking about merging the respective factions of the AIADMK led by them. It (the merger) would have no impact on the Peravai,” she said.
On another note, she took a dig at jailbird Dinakaran saying that he only had many corruption cases against him. “Neither Dinakaran nor any of his family members did any good to the people,” she opined. On another note, she said that setting up a Commission of Inquiry to look into her aunt’s demise was a belated step. “I have clinching evidence about the mysterious demise of my aunt and would produce it before the Commission,” she observed.
