Vidya Balan, who is ready to turn sensuous with her Silk Smitha act in the flick Dirty Picture, has no qualms about playing a seductive queen She will be supported by Bollywood stars Emraan Hashmi, Tusshar Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah in the flick. She reveals in an interview with kollytalk a bit about the movie. Here is an excerpt from the interview.

Hey Vidya do you think it will be a challenging portraying Silk Smith in the movie?

No I don’t think so; it will not be such a difficult job to portray Silk Smitha’s real life on screen. She is known to the world, thanks to her films and songs which have undoubtedly left a mark on the viewers’ minds.

Really, that is surprising to us?

Haha, I would say playing Indira Gandhi would be a bigger challenge though. All the more because of her stature after all she was the Prime Minister and demanded so much respect.

Anyone else Vidya that makes it to your challenging list?

Hmmm, let me think, Amitabh Bachchan would be challenging certainly. I would say my characterization of Silk Smitha on screen will be a much personal take on her image rather than with strict boundaries of do’s and don’ts you know what I mean?

Oh yes, certainly. Seems like you are getting fond of portraying real-life characters first it was Ishiqiya, then the unforgettable Sabrina Lal in No One Killed Jessica .So, could you tell us a bit about this one Vidya.

For the moment I would only like to tell you it is an ode to the life of the southern sexy siren Vijay Lakshmi many know her as Silk Smitha. The movie charts her life and rise to stardom. Thank you, see you soon.

Thanks to you Vidya, see you soon.

Seems like Vidya won’t reveal her dark side on screen so easily, she loves to keep you guessing doesn’t she we leave you with an awesome click of the beauty .

  1. Of course yes if he takes up say a slave character and if he does it fine. And I personally think Vijay is a courageous guy and I like him. However I would give a shout if he goes wrong.
