Amy Jackson

Amy Jackson entered Kollywood and since then her flowing curls have been a rage amongst many teenagers. Her irresistible bubbly appearance is surely something that catches you off guard. We recently caught up with the actress for an interview here is an excerpt from the same.

Hi Amy you look so pretty in your casual outfit.

Thank you.

So starting off with your childhood, were you certain back then that you would be a part of movies and that too Kollywood?

Oh no. I studied English Literature, Philosophy and Ethics at the St Edward’s College. I never thought I would make a career in the glamour industry back in those days.

So moving away from Liverpool finding yourself in a country with so many strangers around you how does it feel?

Well acting is my number one priority as of now, rewind back 2008, I never wanted to act; I was a very content model. I was really pampered as in photo shoots only 10 people stay around on set, but here I was in front of hundreds trying something that I wasn’t familiar with. Although, shooting was nerve-wracking it’s not the same anymore. People here have been kind to me. I’ve made so many friends in Kollywood.

Sounds like you are really enjoying your time here. You know many of your fans are in awe of your great figure; you must have a sweltering workout session?

Not really, these days I eat more than before because I feel hungrier. Haha.

Really? We can’t believe this. So Amy post your debut in 2010 with Madrasapattinam you have followed up with a Hindi debut Ekk Deewana Tha. Recently someone mentioned you as the hottest girlfriend in town. What do you have to say about that?

It is marketing; I don’t have much to say about that. Personally if you ask me how I feel about it honestly I can’t make out what they mean. The only person I see when I look in the mirror is me. There is so much more to a person than his or her physical appearance.

That’s true, moving on to a personal question now. Following your move to Bandra there have been rumors about your live-in status with a guy. Do you have someone special here in India?

Well, I don’t know why people are so interested in my personal life but for my fans I would just like to clarify that it was easier to promote my film, thanks to the Bandra apartment. I have come to accept some facts and gossip is here to stay as a part of this industry for a longtime.

True indeed, you wore a sari in Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’s Hindi remake
that released recently, how was the experience? Are there any more offers in Kollywood that we are unaware of?

Right now I have a few offers but nothing has been finalized yet. Coming back to wearing the sari I am still in awe of the experience to be frank. Once I wore it I realized it made me feel beautiful. In fact, now I prefer wearing a sari to a gown. Isn’t it lovely?

Yes it is, fabulous, you definitely have a new home in India, we are glad you are enjoying every moment of it. Thank you for a lovely time Amy, our best wishes to you.
