Mark Ruffalo is sure that there will never be a standalone Hulk film. While speaking with the media at the D23 Expo on Saturday, the actor explained why he believes his character will not get his own movie like Captain America (Chris Evans) or Thor (Chris Hemsworth). “Universal has the rights, and for some reason, they don’t know how to play well with Marvel. And, they don’t want to make money,” he jokingly said.
Ruffalo was at the expo with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, as well as some Marvel Cinematic Universe favorites, to showcase the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War.
This is not the first time that Ruffalo said that he will not star in his own Hulk movie. Back in 2015, the actor said a similar thing.
Even today, Marvel and Universal have not yet agreed on anything regarding Hulk. But Rufallo said that even if the Hulk will not have his own movie anytime soon, the character could be seen in many other films in the coming years.
Avengers: Infinity War will hit theaters on May 4, 2018.
