Trisha has expressed her desire to be known as a competent and talented actress like Bollywood’s ‘Bengal Tiger’ Rani Mukerji. The actress with a lovable husky voice, Rani Mukerji has carved a niche for herself with her acting and dancing credentials and has managed to stay as a heroine in the competitive Bollywood industry for more than a decade now.
Trisha presently has a solitary Tamil film Samaran opposite Vishal and directed by Thiru. This is the first time Trisha is paired opposite Vishal, who debuted in films long after she came into the industry. It’s also said that Trisha is in talks to star in a few more films.
Talking about her career, Trisha says “I’m happy that my last film Mankatha turned out to be a successful venture. When it comes to choosing roles, I’d love to do one such memorable like Bollywood’s Rani Mukherji in the film Black. Rani was simply awesome in the film as a blind girl; I’d also love to do powerful and memorable roles such as the one Ramya Krishnan played in Rajini’s Padaiyappa.
“Though it wasn’t a typical heroine’s role, Ramya’s role in the film is still spoken about for the various elements the character had. I’m highly confident of landing up such roles in the days to come as it’d also give me a great opportunity to experiment!”
