Reports say that actress Trisha is all set to play a ‘chief minister(Jayalalitha!!!)’ in her upcoming bilingual project. The film, titled tentatively as ‘CM’, is likely to be made simultaneously in Tamil and Kannada. The film would also mark Trisha’s debut in Kannada films.
The fact that Trisha would be playing the ‘chief minister’ has raised expectations about the film. Anushka was the obvious choice of the producers as they thought that her height and natural elegance would help her in easily portraying the role of a chief minister. The leggy lass, who has been busy with film assignments in Tamil and Telugu, reportedly refused the offer citing call-sheet problems.
Trisha has reportedly told them that she might charge more than her normal fee for this film to which the producer has agreed. Still, the actress has sought some more time to ‘make up’ her mind to play the lead role in the film which might also show her as the ‘chief minister’ in a few sequences. The crew is hopefully awaiting a positive response from Trisha in the coming days.
While the Kannada version may have Sivarajkumar playing the lead role, ‘action king’ Arjun may play the lead role in the Tamil version. If it comes about, it would be the first time that Trisha would be paired up opposite Arjun, though she starred along side him in her latest film ‘Mankatha’ too! Director Raghuram said that the script has been made in such manner as to strengthen the bond of relationship between the people of the States of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka!
