Actress Trisha has denied news reports which claimed that she is all set to play Telugu star Mahesh Babu’s sister-in-law in an upcoming Telugu flick. Pushing 30, Trisha is still busy in Tamil and Telugu films and is presently shooting for the final stages of her upcoming Telugu film titled Bodyguard opposite Venkatesh. The film is a remake of the Tamil hit film Kaavalan which starred Vijay and Asin and released early this year.
Trisha has also committed to star in another Telugu film Ganga(Kaavalan Telugu remake). She was one of the many heroines in actor Ajith’s latest and landmark 50th film Mankatha which released recently and is still running successfully. Besides Samaran opposite Vishal in Tamil, she doesn’t have any other film on hand.
Reports in the Telugu press said that she had been cast as Mahesh Babu’s sister-in-law in a new film. It was also stated that as she was running short of offers in Tollywood, she had agreed to play sister-in-law to Mahesh Babu, with whom she has paired up in a few movies. It was also stated that Mahesh Babu plays younger brother to Venkatesh in the multi-starrer film.
As Trisha had been paired up opposite Venkatesh, she would obviously play sister-in-law to Mahesh Babu, it was reported. Reacting to those reports, Trisha said that she hadn’t signed up any multi-starrer as yet as stated in the report. “I have an excellent role in the Vishal-starrer Samaran which gives me excellent scope to display my acting credentials. Only after finishing this film, I would commit myself to any future projects,” says Trisha.
