It is reported that actress Trisha opposed casting of Tamanna in her upcoming film, Endrendrum Punnagai, as the parallel heroine. Trisha, who turned 29 a few days back, celebrated her birthday in Bangkok amid her close friends. After a long time, Trisha is acting in more than one film at time in Tamil. She has Samar opposite Vishal and has signed up Boologam and Endrendrum Punnagai (EP) opposite ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Jiiva respectively.
Of late, Trisha’s films have invariably been having another (younger) heroine as heroes and directors are increasingly wary of Trisha’s crowd-pulling capacity now that she has entered her thirties. EP is Trisha’s first film opposite Jiiva which is being directed by Ahmed. The director thought it better to have another (younger) heroine and zeroed in on Tamanna, who posseses an enviable hourglass figure.
When Trisha came to know of Ahmed’s decision (to cast Tamanna), she put her feet down and vehemently opposed it. She was upset that she wasn’t told that there would be another heroine in the film when she signed along the dotted lines to take up the film. She apparently figured out that Tamanna’s dazzling presence would reduce her own ‘significance’ in the film.
Trisha is said to have told Ahmed to go for a heroine who is a rank newcomer to Tamil and Telugu films. Giving in to Trisha’s will, Ahmed has now opted for Lisa Hayden, the stunning-looking model and Bollywood actress. It’s anybody’s guess as to who’d take the cake when it comes to looking sexy and stylish. Honey, as Trisha is referred to by those close to her, would have to do a lot better to beat Lisa in bagging the limelight!
