Telugu films are my priority, says Anushka

Actress Anushka has opined that she’s happy about the taste of the audience, which never disappoints filmmakers who make good and meaningful films. “I feel there has been a marked change in the tastes of the audience over the years. Besides action and romantic movies, they tend to appreciate meaningful films as well,” she has said.

The lanky actress, who has very few heroes matching her when it comes to height, is delighted with the response generated by her latest Tamil film ‘Deiva Thirumagal’. Though Vikram plays the lead role in the film, Anushka is not paired opposite him but has essayed a powerful character of an advocate in the film.

“I saw the film Deiva Thirumagal sitting alongside the audiences. I was simply thrilled with the response the film evoked from them. I’m slated to do a film with Karthi in Tamil. I liked it when I worked with his elder brother Suriya in ‘Singam’ and hope the rapport continues with Karthi too. I’m not at all bothered about the many rumours doing rounds about me.

“I don’t need to respond to each and every one of them. I’m sure the audience knows me. Though I’m acting in both Tamil and Telugu films, my priority would always be for Telugu films as I became a star only after acting in them,” concludes Anushka.
