A few days back, a team of 25 persons comprising top directors, producers and distributors belonging to various bodies in Kollywood met the AIADMK chief Ms. Jayalalithaa to convey their various types of grievances.
The team included veteran director-producer KRG, director Kayaar ad ‘Pepsi’ Siva. Despite her hectic schedule, the AIADMK supremo allotted time to meet the representatives of the film industry and listened to their grievances patiently for 15 minutes, it is reported.
Director Vijayapadma, who has completed the shooting of ‘Narthagi’, reportedly told AIADMK chief that though the film is ready for release, successive films getting released from firms owned by members of Kalaignar’s family have been making it almost impossible for the release of ‘Narthagi’.
S.A.C. Ramki, who has directed ‘Solli Adippaen’ and ‘Naanum En Kaadhulum’, lamented that though both the films have been ready to hit the screens for the past couple of years, he couldn’t do so as there have been ‘many hurdles’ placed in their path.
After hearing them out patiently, ‘Amma’ is said to have assured a ‘speedy resolution’ of all their problems in the near future.
