Sources close to mercurial actor Simbu reveal on condition of anonymity that the actor is quite intent on making a sequel to his highly successful Manmadhan. In fac, they reveal that Simbu has already completed penning the basic script of the film and has ‘constructed’ a team of advisors to help develp the basic plot into a full-length, water-tight script.
Simbu’s latest film was Osthe opposite Richa Gangopadhyaya, which released late last year and failed to click with the masses. Undeterred by the film’s no-show, Simbu has been vigorously working on not one but three films at the moment. He is shooting for Poda Podi opposite Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar and has also been simultaneously working in the film Vettai Mannan which has hotties Hansika and Deeksha as heroines.
He was named the hero of Nic Arts Chakravarthy’s upcoming film Vaalu as well in which Hansika would again be pairing up opposite him. With three films currently in various stages of production, it is difficult to fathom as to how would the ‘workaholic’ Simbu manage to start and keep work on the fourth film as well. As we know, Simbu being Simbu, he would do anything!
Manmadhan-2 would have Simbu penning the script, dialogues and directing it besides playing the lead role in it. Rajiv Menon, a popular choreographer, would be the cinematographer for this film. Santhanam is said to play a crucial part in the film. What happened to Simbu’s Vada Chennai to be directed by Vetrimaran is still not known!
Incidentally, Santhanam made his acting debut in Manmadhan.
