Few days back, director Shankar returned to Chennai after spending close to a month at the Officers’ Training Academy at Dehra Dun where he wrapped up the second schedule of shooting of his upcoming directorial venture ‘Nanban’.
The very next day, Shanka was off to London along with cinematographer Manoj Paramhansa and music director Harris Jayaraj on a fortnight long tour. In all likelihood, he is expected to be in Chennai on the day Tamil Nadu goes to the polls so as to enable him to cast his vote.
Shankar is likely to shoot two more song sequences and some other sequences in and around London, Buckingham and many places, for which he has reportedly finalized the locations during this particular visit to London. Harris also found time to compose the two songs that would be shot there shortly.
The latest buzz doing rounds in Kollywood is that Shankar’s next film is likely to star our own Surya in the lead. It is now said that Shankar had a ‘special’ script ready for Suriya in a solo-hero project and that it was exactly the reason why Surya wasn’t considered to star in the multi-starrer ‘Nanban’, a remake of the super-hit Bollywood film ‘3 Idiots’.
