Sameera Reddy is no doubt giving sleepless nights to Tamil youths. She doesn’t appear to be unduly worried about the fact that her latest film Vedi opposite Vishal has failed to set the cash registers ringing at the box-office notwithstanding the huge publicity blitz by Sun Pictures through the innumerable number of channels owned by Sun Network.
Though the film didn’t live upto expectations, Sameera’s pairing with Vishal was widely appreciated. Her costumes, especially in sequences where she appeared clad in sarees in the song sequences, have only increased her fan base among Tamils.
The tall beauty is said to be playing a village girl in her upcoming flick titled Vettai directed by Lingusamy. She is paired up opposite Madhavan in the film, who plays a cop. The courageous Sameera has handled a bike very casually in the film, something not many women would volunteer themselves to do. Though she fell once during the shoot while riding on the bike, she says that she canned those sequences with relative ease.
Speaking about her experience in starring in Vettai which also has Aarya and Amala Paul as the other lead pair, Sameera says “We enjoyed the shooting schedules held in some of the most picturesque locations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. I had a blast with Maddy who is a very jovial person to have around. I was particularly in splits while filming the marriage sequences in the film. I’m sure the viewers would also love it,” concludes Sam.
