Rumours are floating in Kollywood to the effect that superstar Rajinikanth and director Shankar might join hands together for their third film together. The combination of Shankar, the director with the Midas’ Touch, and superstar Rajinikanth, has worked wonders in both Sivaji: The Boss as well as last year’s Enthiran: The Robot.
Shankar, who is in the final stages of the shoot of his upcoming film Nanban starring Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Ileana and Anuya , is said to be in the process of ‘forming a suitable script’ for the past weeks to make a film with Rajini in the lead. It was reported only a fortnight ago that the superstar’s next project would be Kochadaiyan, a period flick, to be directed by his daughter Soundarya.
Where it puts Rana then? It is said that Rajini would wrap up the shooting schedule of Kochadaiyan in record time to commit himself to Shankar’s film. He would be starring only in a few sequences in Kochadaiyan, it is rumoured. Rajini would appear in the costume of the title role and would start narrating the story; even as Rajini narrates the story, the motion picture would change in to animation version.
The ‘real’ Rajini would, however, be appearing frequently to take the story forward, it is said. Rajini may not shoot for more than 10 days for Kochadaiyan and then would commit himself to Shankar’s as-yet-untitled film. The film would have music by A.R. Rahman, it is further informed.
It appears that the much-awaited Rana might get delayed further.
