Unconfirmed reports say that many district authorities and local body administrators have been refusing permission to shoot in their respective localities and areas for producer-distributor Udhayanidhi’s upcoming film ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’ (OKOK). Son of former deputy chief minister Stalin and grandson of Kalaignar, Udhayanidhi is debuting as hero in OKOK.
The film has the stunning Hansika as Udhayanidhi’s heroine and is being directed by Rajesh, who directed Udhayanidhi’s production venture and the highly successful ‘Bosss Engira Baskaran’ earlier. It was due to the rapport that was struck between him and Rajesh that Udhayanidhi chose the former as the director of his first film as hero.
It now turns out permission to hold the shooting of the film is being denied at many places. The film’s shooting has reached its final stage with only the climax and a few more sequences remaining to be shot. Even the locals don’t seem to be helping out the film’s crew, which had made it look for locations elsewhere in neighbouring States, it is reliably learnt.
It may be noted that when the film’s shooting kicked off early this year, DMK was in power in the State and the April Assembly elections put the party out of reckoning and put Amma back in the saddle in the State Secretariat.
