Indian cricket’s favourite poster-boy and its flamboyant captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, popularly known as MSD, might star in a Tamil film soon. Reports say that Dhoni just might make a cameo in actor-producer Prakashraj‘s upcoming film titled Dhoni.
Prakashraj plays the lead role in the film besides directing it. This would be Prakashraj’s directorial debut in Tamil though he has already directed films in other languages. Dhoni is a bilingual being made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously and is presently being shot at in Pondicherry.
The film is said to be based on the psyche of the children and how it’s handled by their respective parents. The kids, under pressure from their parents to score heavily in the exams, make their best preparations for the exams. The film seeks to convey the message that the present education system is not devised properly to bring out the hidden talents in each child and as such, it asks the parents not to put too much burden on their children.
Radhika Aapte, Aakesh, Nassar, Thalaivasal Vijay and Brahmanandam are part of the cast. Guhan handles cinematography while ‘Maestro’ Ilaiyaraja takes care of the music of the film. Prakashraj’s close friend Prabhudeva makes a special appearance in the film. The film is likely to hit the screens by the year end.
MS Dhoni would also be starring in the film in a ‘special’ cameo. When queried about MSD’s role in the film, Prakashraj assured that it would be kept as a ‘great surprise’ for the benefit of the viewers!
