Mani Ratnam - Simbu project dropped?
The much-hyped Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’ being come up with mixed verdict in North and a success talk for ‘Raavanan’ in Tamilnadu with a collection of Rs.20 crores all through out the globe on the opening day, director Mani Ratnam doesn’t want to wait any more further as he is all set to begin his next venture soon.

Belying earlier reports that this film will be a bilingual, the film would be made in Hindi only with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.

Previously, Mani Ratnam had plans to make a bilingual with Simbu donning the lead role in the Tamil version. According to close sources of Mani Ratnam, the director has now dropped plans for the Tamil version for unknown reasons.

It may be recalled that Simbu was lately in the news as he walked out of K.V.Anand’s KO movie believe that his decision to walk out of the project was due to the alluring offer to work with the reputed director Mani Ratnam.

Mani Ratnam’s most favourite AR Rahman will be the music director, but unlike ‘Raavan,’ this new film will be totally of a cosmopolitan look with major portion filmed in London.

P.C.Sriram has signed to handle cinematography while Sreekar Prasasd is donning the editing.

The rest of the star-casts is yet to be confirmed.
