KO to be remade in Hindi, Akshay Kumar to Produce

Now that actor Jiiva’s latest film ‘KO’, directed by KV Anand has become one of the biggest money-spinners of recent times and is drawing crowds in huge numbers to the theatres across Chennai and elsewhere, the movie has grabbed the attention of Bollywood too.

The latest we hear is that Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who saw the film recently, loved it so much that he has decided to buy its remake rights. The actor is said to have approached the RS Infotainment who produced ‘KO’ in this regard. Once everything is finalized, the movie will be produced under Hari Om Movies, the actor’s home production.

Anthony D’Souza, friend of Akshay, will be helming the Hindi version it is said.

When contacted, KV Anand said, “I’m in Munnar for Maatraan. My producer called me to tell me that Akshay had been trying to reach me and that he had liked Ko. I’ve worked with Akshay in his Khakee and a couple of ad films. So, he wanted to talk to me personally, but wasn’t able to reach me in Munnar.”
