Vishal is a busy man nowadays. After his latest film Vedi directed by Prabhudeva bombed at the box-office last year, the lanky Vishal has recouped in reasonable time to realize the need for doing films which get a decent opening at the box-office and go on to do well for the next few weeks. His next film would be his home production Samar and has Sunaina and Trisha as his heroines in the film.
After the theatrical release of Samar in a few weeks’ time from now, Vishal would be starring in a full-length fun-filled film to be directed by Sundar C who is on ‘Cloud 9’ following the success of his latest directorial venture Kalakalappu at the box-office. Buoyed by the film’s success, Sundar has also announced that he would be making a sequel to the film with the same star cast later this year.
Karthika Nair of Ko fame was signed up to play Vishal’s heroine in the Sundar C film which was tentatively titled as MGR (Matha Gaja Raja). What happened earlier hasn’t come to light but it is now said that Karthika is ‘out of the film’ and that a hunt for a new heroine to pair up opposite Vishal is on. Vishal plays triple roles in the film and Karthika was the major heroine to be paired up opposite one of those characters.
Sources close to Karthika, who is also playing the lead role in veteran director Bharathiraaja’s upcoming film Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum, say that Karthika reportedly opted out of the film on her own as she sensed that the script which was planned to be shot was vastly different thatn the one which was narrated to her earlier. Karthika didn’t want to be one of the two heroines in the film and opted out on her own, it is said.
